Irena Sedlecka

Sculptor and Fellow of the Royal British Society of Sculptors born September 7, 1928 in Plzeň, Czechoslovakia (from where she fled in 1967). She's perhaps best known for her three metre tall sculpture of Freddie Mercury standing at the shore of Lake Geneva, Montreux, Switzerland since 1996. Ms. Sedlecká ed away August 5, 2020 at the age of 91.
