Pete Solley was renowned as one of the most versatile British keyboardists, having played with a range of notable artists and bands including Terry Reid, Paladin, Snafu, Procol Harum, Fox, and the early incarnation of Whitesnake. His touring experience was extensive and diverse, including performances with The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Chris Farlowe, and Terry Reid. In addition to his keyboard prowess, Solley's talent extended to recording, where he worked with renowned artists like Eric Clapton and Al Stewart.

Solley's career took a remarkable turn as he ventured into music production. He achieved success producing for a variety of artists, including Peter Frampton, Motorhead, Ted Nugent, Oingo Boingo, The Romantics, Mountain, and The Sports. One of his last notable productions was the 2023 album "SAINT GEORGES ROAD" by The Black Sorrows.

Beyond his work in bands and production, Solley also had a hand in arranging strings for The Jam and composed commercial jingles for major brands like BMW, British Airways, and Coca-Cola.
