Wolfgang Loos, born around 1954, is a renowned German sound engineer, composer, producer, arranger, and professor at the University of the Arts (UdK) Berlin. He began his academic journey studying musicology, philosophy, and art history at the University of Tübingen from 1973 to 1976 before completing his Tonmeister degree at UdK Berlin in 1980. Loos gained significant industry experience while working as a sound engineer at Studio 54 from 1978 to 1988. During this period, he co-produced Alphaville's debut album *Forever Young* in 1984, which became a defining moment in his career.

In 1988, Loos founded Traumton Musikproduktion in Berlin, where he has worked with artists across diverse genres, producing albums and composing for children's programs, documentaries, feature films, and industrial films. He has also directed music and image films. A respected educator, Loos has been involved with the UdK since 1987, initially as a lecturer and later, since 2010, as a full professor specializing in popular music and audio-visual production. In 2008, he became the head of the Tonmeister program and leads the UdK's record label "betont."
