Point .44 Records

Profile:

Dutch gabber/hardcore label.
Owned by William Jordens aka DJ Jordens.
Division of Fonky Fibe Records until 1997. Now a division of "DJ World"

The original Point .44 Records and sublabels Darryl’s Choice, White Label and Point X existed for approximately 5 years in the heyday of gabber from 1993 until 1997. It became a sublabel of ID&T music in 1996. Like many late ID&T sublabel releases, several late-'97 releases of this label have been cancelled. Therefore Point .44 releases 710, 712 and 715 have not been officially released and exist without any artwork as white labels only. Other numbers in the catalogue are completely missing. This is a good example on how one moment the gabber labels in Holland were releasing frequently and enjoying commercial success, but the next they vanished.

In 2011 label owner Rob Boskamp and label manager William Jordens revived the label with new artist like Mainstage Maffia, Virulenz, Hardnoiser and more. Old tracks were being remixed and the originals remastered. New tracks also released.
In 2017 the Shooting Range series was being released as free s. A change for new artists to let their music be heard.
Than it became a little bit quiet around the label, but this changed again in 2020.
Point 44 Records teamed up with Brutal Force Records. New blood was pumped into the label. Remixes were made for each other, containing special Point 44 remixes on Brutal Force Records and Brutal Force remixes being released on Point 44 Records.
Then came the idea of releasing new vinyl and with s made by William through Danny Rondberg of BFR, the first new vinyl being released in the same year. Unfinished business, gold series has seen the daylight.
With the Gold Series part 4 coming up in 2022, Point 44 is still here and stronger than ever.

After 16 years of silence, hardcore/gabber recordlabel Point44 Records is back!

During Christmas 2011 labelowner Rob Boskamp and A&R Manager William Jordens both came up with the idea to do something with the backcatalogue of Point44 Records.

After 2 years of working hard behind the screens, we finally decided, that it was time to show our new identity and new artists.

Point44 Records and sublabels Darryl’s Choice, White and Point X existed for approximately

      5 years in the heyday’s of hardcore/gabber from 1993 untill 1997.

During those years many hitrecords were released, like: Return of a Looney (Renata Ricciardi), Sarin (Party Animals & Jordens), Please Paï (DJ Jordens), Watch This (Superior Dj Team), Energize (Demonax) and Cyndrum (Bionic Commanders).

The first new release is already available. It is a compilation-series with the name Reload which will come out several times each year with 6 old and 6 new tracks.

The new tracks are either new remixes of old songs, refixes of old songs, material that has never been released before and ofcourse completely new tracks!

The old stuff will be released in it’s original form, but will be re-mastered.

For the early hardcore lovers an absolute must….

The new tracks and remixes will be produced and re-arranged by a young and dedicated team

of new artists, all with their own distinctive sound.

Steve ‘Virulenz’ Doting, Bjorn ‘Riddles’ Zut and Laurens ‘Recore’ Wijers will be working daily on the new sound of Point44 Records under the enthousiastic guidance of labelmanager William Jordens. William will come up with new stuff as well shortly…
