Potlatch is a French independent label, founded in 1997 by Jacques Oger, working with significant performers of free improvised music. 'Potlatch' means an old ceremony (in Indian tribes) studied by famous anthropologist Marcel Mauss (who wrote L'Essai sur le Don in 1925). |
