Sweet* – Desolation Boulevard

I'll echo the comments from the previous commenter, this 1981 re-issue, with a remastering job by Gene Thompson is MASSIVE - I have no idea what the first presses sound like, but I've heard they sound nothing like THIS! Not only are the bass and drums in your face, but Gene left plenty of mids and highs on this mastering - it's a great piece of work. I found a great pressing, put it through ultrasonic, and per the band's name, it is SWEET!

Tracklisting on vinyl labels is wrong. Название альбома на "яблоке" правильное, а вот название песен взято с альбома 1977 года ..

minority opinion: I love the tracks exclusive to the non-usa version. I love breakdown, medusa, their version of my generation, and fox on the run album is way better than single. Turn it down is my favorite ever song of theirs. Micks drum solo was classic. People were overly critical. This album was extremely well produced and the only album where Steve's great bass playing was actually in the mix to a good degree.

the best way to release this album would have been a double album.

I only knew ballroom blitz and fox on the run, but I must say I like this album. It sounded fine as well. Not amazing but not bad.

All of canadian/US releases of deso blvd. are compiled from sweet Fanny Adams and uk deso blvd, omitting some of the rather dull trax from euro/uk (original) deso blvd. releases.
And yes, first pressings of American release are provided with a proper lyrics inner sleeve as is/was...

This is a good pressing. A stray pop/click here or there. Generally quiet background. I recommend this.

The sound on this pressing is phenomenal! I don’t think you can improve on this with a remaster. Deep bass, dynamic aF, the version to own.
