Darkest Hour – Deliver Us

EDIT: This may just be my copy or a small pressing error as others have reported similar problems but it seems some records may sound better than others.

As someone who is usually content with most pressings of records analog or digital mastered I cannot stress enough how bad this record sounds. It starts off with what almost sounds like terrible inner groove distortion and as the record spins it gets drastically worse. I don’t own any other pressing so I can’t personally speak on them but they appear to have the same exact mix. I’d suggest getting a cd player and the cd for less than the price of this record or even streaming it. This record is cool to have but just know the only reason to buy it is just to own it on vinyl.

One of the single worst sounding records I own (purchased it new back in the day)....sounds like it was ripped off of a 128 Kbps mp3 file. My Flexidisc singles sound better than this. Also, the sleeve is misprinted - the spine reads "Undoing Ruin" (their previous album). I'd give it a 2/10 at best (album cover does look cool blown up like it is with the glossy finish). Hopefully the 2019 reissue sounds better, but I'd definitely avoid any of the 2007 pressings, especially for what they're going for now.

Pressing sounds awful - extremely compressed and poor quality. Cannot speak for other copies, but don't buy this thinking it's gonna sound as good as a vinyl should.

Very poor sound quality. The CD sounds fantastic but this vinyl issue sounds totally crapy. It looks great though. Blue white marbled.

Does anyone else's spine title read 'Undoing Ruin" ? Mine does, strange.

There's one less pink copy out there that's listenable. This guy got the actual vinyl signed.
