Edited 6 years agobest EP ever. The chunky beats of Martian arts, following that epic start, ring in my head without need of reminder and i can picture the exact moment i heard another DJ play it out at a cosmic carrot gig. If you haven't heard it, do it now. Briliiant. I fell in love with Tristan because of this record, only losing my crush after witnessing him turn a club under a railway, full of ravers, into a pack of zombies after he released that reptile album, audiodrome
Space sage was, at the time, totally genre bending too, beautiful and different and something i could listen to again and again when taking a break from the dancefloor. -
Edited 3 years agoA classic slice of breaky Goa from Tristan here. The vinyl has the unique quality of being cut from the inside out, though Twisted did do this kind of thing from time to time, like on the Younger Brother ep... "Space Sage" is a real stand out and one of the greatest psybreaks tracks ever written. I rate it one of my all time favourite Goa tracks; so blissful and so tweaky at the same time with killer bass. It appeared in an equally good unmixed original version on the excellent 21-3 Records' "All Boundaries are Illusion" compilation. Really superb. ~*~
