One of those records when i stumbled across my mother's collection of Punk 45s back in the day connected to me very personally as a very interesting artefact Crass's music although very workmanlike on occasion was more progressive and more so experimental than most punk bands of that era, but their message always remained clear to their beliefs. Bloody Revolutions is a fantastic little number with many fast and slow moments, backed by Ignorant's brilliance scowl and Libertine's somewhat operatic voice. the instrumentation is a slow blend of chugging guitars and samples, with the French national anthem playing throughout. it then ends with the first side on a time-locked groove that ends with the words "this year zero.." over and over. The Poison Girls side, although I never cared for much is just as haunting as the A-side with a great vocal by Vi Subversa. overall, a great introductory piece for those wanting to get into Crass, as going forward their sound only got more so abrasive and more aggressive. from my young leanings as a punk and forwarding to today, possibly thanks to this record I've ed and met Steve Ignorant numerous times across the years and he has always remained a gentleman in meeting him, which for most heroes we meet is all we can ask for.

The truth of revolution, brother ……..

        A classic.

(Discogs sort out that 10 words nonsense!)

Every one of these matrix numbers are in the wrong order. Side A is PERSONS UNKNOWN. Side B is BLOODY REVOLUTIONS !!

This one has a new matrix that is not listed on Discogs

There's at least one of the KR versions with "juke-box grooves" at the end of the vinyl (the standard press has not), matrix is similar to version 3 - even if i can't see a 10 - looks more like an I - and the 2 is horizontal.
