This is a good pressing. I don't much care about the artwork, personally. The disc looks cool. Mine has a very slight warp. The background is quiet, and especially when mixed down to mono it is dead silent. I highly recommend this.

Its hard to believe this was recorded in 1967. The remastering is exceptional. The sound is tight, full, rich, and warm. Buck Owns wife on harmony (interesting back story there), Glen Campbell on guitar, and Ralph Mooney on steel guitar and the other "Strangers" add to the excellence of the album. The color of the album is a fun extra to match the "rusty"boxcar on the cover with the poorly reproduced artwork. Other than the bad artwork this is a great album with a rich history of Merle's, then hidden past of, incarceration which clearly colors his writing and music. Get this if you are a Merle fan. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent album! Mastering is done superbly and sound is crisp and alive, vocals blend together so well on the harmonies.

I was honestly shocked when I saw how bad this artwork looked; It had me laughing out loud with my partner. I’m amazed that VMP would let something that just looks so terrible get through their QT… They replaced the Hawk Flies High sleeves for some simple mispress, but they’re letting this fly? Lol.

Did anyone else notice some IGD at the end of side A? Could definitely be my setup, as it has been finnicky before, but the last few lines of the last song on side A had some very noticeable distortion.

As others have stated, this is a great pressing of a great record. The album art, on the other hand, is almost comically grainy. The black text has pretty obvious compression artifacts all around it. Disappointed in this for the price we pay for VMP.
