referencing The Motors (LP, Album, Promo) PZ 34924
Working backwards to this. I was familiar with Bram Tchaikovsky from Strange Man, Changed Man, an excellent power pop lp. I had only read about his time with the Motors until I found this recently in a thrift store.
Very basic, punk influenced pub rock, it actually reminds me more of Slade, minus the glam and the sing a longs.
Not highly technically proficient, but it is meant to be played in barrooms full of rowdy drunks.
There are the beginnings of great band here. -

Amazing album which rocks like hell! Like Status Quo turned into a good and inventive band! Which means where Status Quo use one good riff to create sixteen albums, the Motors took sixteen good ideas to create ONE fantastic album! 😏 Regrettably this also means they had already shot their wad completely here! Their later albums were neither as powerful and thrilling nor as fanciful and inventive as their debut! 🙄
