Echo And The Bunnymen* – Heaven Up Here

This is a solid repress. It's dead quiet and clear. It could do with a bit more punch, but higher volumes help. Outside of "A Promise" the album itself is devoid of "hits", but it's probably the most consistent Echo & The Bunnymen record. It has this great flow from beginning to end and what it lacks in melodic hooks it more than makes up for with atmosphere, dynamics, and fantastic arrangements.

Fantastic music and a great pressing. Very low surface noise and quiet in between songs. A joy to listen too!!!

I have a nice clean sire copy and I'm hearing a bit of sibilance on A Promise. Vocals being most prominent. No problem side 2.

It seems like there's a whole load of these German/European versions with the black Korova label that could be merged, doesn't seem to be any difference except very slight variations in the matrix, surely just variants of the same thing.

I bought this second hand in the late 80s. One of the finest things this band ever did, and they pretty much did no wrong until Dancing Horses. Ugh still can't stand that song.
Also, my copy is a smooth fully laminated sleeve, nothing textured. Otherwise it's an exact match. Anyone else have a copy like this?
