The "notes"above do not match the submitted accompanying picture. All these Vee Jay releases are very confusing.I have Vee Jay Stereo VJS1085 with brackets and colorband label "stereo"at 12 0'clock and Long Playing Microgroove on labels.I can't see it listed anywhere.Faint etchings in dead wax are 64-3852.Old Man cover has STEREO top centre with VJS1085 to the right of it. Still confused? So am I

In reference to The Beatles And Frank Ifield - The Beatles & Frank Ifield On Stage, the OS submitted this release with these notes, which belong in the review/comment section. "This version has the Vee Jay logo in an oval and a multicolour ring around the label.
The text for “SIDE 1” and “SIDE 2” is all upper case.
SIDE 1 run out contains: Etched “Δ 6295”, “64-3852”, “URJ”, “1-18-64”. The date etching is extremely faint and difficult to see. Stamped MR in a circle logo which is badly pressed and only half visible. It has NOT been scratched out. Audio Matrix logo which is also badly pressed and is almost just two lines of dots where the tops and bottoms of the letters have left an impression. This is also NOT scratched out.

My copy of the outer sleeve of this record is damaged and reveals a little bit of sleeve construction detail. The front cover colour artwork appears to have been applied to a plain cardboard sleeve with the edges overlapping over onto the rear sleeve on three sides. The three visible edges on the rear face are then covered by applying mono sleeve notes over the top to hide the edges. The damage appears to reveal that the same artwork was used for both the stereo and mono versions of this record. The artwork has been manufactured to be too tall for the sleeve, with the word “STEREO” printed in bold text in the centre and the record number “VJS 1085” in the top right. The number “VJ 1085” is printed in the bottom right. By locating this artwork either high or low on the sleeve allows the same artwork to be used on both mono and stereo versions of the sleeve, and explains the slight differences between mono and stereo sleeves."

A rather bizarre compilation release featuring the unlikely pairing of The Beatles and yodelling country crooner Frank "I You" Ifieild, which was released under the false pretence that it was recorded live (It wasn't - it's just standard studio recordings!). This release was rushed out to cash in on early Beatlemania (Vee Jay owned the rights to the Beatles and Ifield at the time), and contains a rather gaudy cover featuring a bloke with a tash and Beatle wig, which looks like something you would find in Poundland.

The album is also infamous for stating on the back cover "It is with a good deal of pride and pleasure that this copulation has been presented", which is presumably a misprinting. Because of it's association with The Fab Four (and for being an ironic collector's item), the prices are very high in the aftermarket.

The above version is a 2nd press, the label is rainbow ring with VJ in brackets. The 1st is rainbow ring with oval & VEEJAY inside. 3rd is
black label with white printing and just VJ. (not 100% sure)

This Is unofficial version. The right one is with "stereo" in the middle on the top of the jacket.

I had a REAL (not 70's rip off) stereo copy of this Lp in Near Mint condition that I sold in 2007 for $250.00 and I'm kicking myself in the butt for selling it that cheap. Of the different label variations for this record, it was the rarest. I got it from a friends older brother who sold his original Beatles collection. What a find that was!
