Sarah Vaughan – How Long Has This Been Going On?

220 grams (yeah i weighed this beast!) of wonderful vinyl with some cracking music on it. Never been a huge Vaughan fan and have let most of her stuff me by but these tunes, the recording and qualities of this presd are superb. Great job by Chad and co. as per usual

Gorgeous record. Flat, quiet, with sound that leaps out of the speakers. On top of everything else, great piano sound and Oscar Peterson at his very best. The guitar of Joe is recorded beautifully. Percussion really pops. The record gives an extraordinary illusion of three dimensionality; as an example, just listen to Belson's drums on "Easy Living".

This was released simultaneously with an Ella Fitzgerald album that also featured Joe . The records have two songs in common: I've Got the World on a String and My Old Flame. Both records are great, but this is one of the best-sounding records in the series so far, right up there with "This One's For Blanton". If you can only afford one of them, make it this one.

Love this album! It's smooth and sounds great. Sarah Vaughan had impeccable phrasing as she interpreted the lyrics to each song.

This album is evidence how noble jazz can be. Even not all songs typical for jazz performance Sarah gave them original fingerprints. She´s singing so matured, airy and colourful. Sometimes not singing lyrics, but melodies instead words. In some cases similiar to Louis Armstrong. On this record with " high society" musicians. Energy and drive is evident also in duets which are the best to my mind. Last song with Bellson kicked me. Sound, although from copy tape is very good. Voice clear, realistic. Piano with shape and drums almost in the room. My copy is without "Gramofonový klub" on the stamp, rest of it is identical. Pressing is bit louder, but OK. For those who don´t mind bit bootleg issue jacket, but original licensed and cheap, highly recommended.

This is The best Sarah's album for me !
