My copy has a price sticker from J & R Music of $3.69 dated 6/86. -
Edited 4 years agoI have a version with on the flipside the following two extra releases:
1) Tina Charles: "You set my heart on fire". Special re-edit of 6.15 minutes (never released before).
2) The Eleventh Hour: "Hollywood Hot". 12 inch version of 7.31 minutes.
There are only a handfull made. As far as I know now 5 one sided and 1 with an A and B side.

Obviously 'I'm Ready' is why I bought this 12" but check out 'Holy Dolly' as well. Not quite as good but still a really nice track! -

Great record that was HUGE in NYC both on radio and in the clubs in 1980. One of the few Italo records devoid of the dreaded cheese factor. -

If there is a such thing as a perfectly composed, arranged, produced, and executed dance track, "I'm Ready" is it. This tune still sets dance floors on fire in the year 2017. -
IMO this sounds like a vinyl to reel to reel transfer that was edited on the splicing block, and then transferred on to acetate/dub plate. All the typical characteristics of a bad quality reel to reel transfer edit: Poor beat timing, loss of low and hi frequencies, and 2D distorted flat sound. These were typical back then, used by both DJ's and bootleggers looking to press up a few 'edits/remixes'.

In my opinion, this is one of the finest examples of disco music ever created. From the moment of the first hand clap until the conclusion of the song, I found I was thoroughly engaged, my interest never waning. It is just a very intense and beautiful track. Peace and love to all.
