The CD Re-issue of the Constellation LP. was remastered and changed in some areas, with some new material, and some material missing. It has a completely different booklet/cover/liner notes, but as with the lp, each track is made up of several different segments.
The vinyl version came with a bag of goodies, including a penny flattened by a train and several illustrations. The first numbered 500 copies had a photograph glued to the front. The reissued LP replaced this with a digital print also glued in place.

Any reason why this particular pressing of this album are selling for abt 100 dollars or more? -
Edited 9 months agoThese calls for merging are mostly nonsense. Merging would be good for the insert-permutations but the idea of merging into three releases just because this has never "gone out of print" is absurd. Presumably those calling for merge are unaware that the 2000s reissues after the numbered-;97 but before the rash of 2010-onwards releases are all standard-weight issues whilst the 2010s and after are all 180g jobs. Think again.
The real problem is the numpty Discogs sellers (many of whom in my experience are unable to distinguish a 1980s 1st from whatever barcoded 180g digital-trash they've listed as the 1st) who will almost certainly have one disc and list another... -

Edited one year agothe surface noise is meant to be there, it helps the effect. this is very spooky in headphones, it creates a powerful sense of dread. there's this insane warbling that i only noticed on the vinyl, after the opening stanza, very quiet. there's even more weird shit going on than i thought.

For some reason, mine doesn’t include the inner sleeve with the constellation logo and credits, etc. Maybe a different version?

This is so many version of the this LP it's completely ridiculous. I had to go investigator-mode to find that I have this exact version X( -
I feel like the quality could have been a bit better, but I still feel very happy with this -

I cannot for the life of me figure out which release I have. This is the only one listed that has the train illustration in white ink on brown paper like mine has but mine has an American penny in it not a Canadian penny.
Either way this is a fantastic pressing that plays and sounds phenomenal. Flat, clear, quiet, and just a wonderful listening experience.
