Sounds good. However, mine is just yellow. There is no marbling in the record I received.

You can hear "the Pixies" on 'the day that Lassie went to the moon'. A glorious debut out of the norms of this era.

I thought it was worthwhile to report that… Even though I didn’t do a side-by-side play… The new record sounded very fine without intense cleaning.

And yes, it opens up top —so careful with your razors !

Was excited except for Cooking Vinyl. I’ve had some bad pressings from them over the years, and this is no different. They use”noisy vinyl”! Maybe spray some Pam on the stampers or something. I love this album, and am happy to have an RSD copy, but I’ll be listening to my og copy when I want to give it a spin. Mine has a barely audible (enough to drive you crazy) blump noise on the last 3 or 4 songs on side one. There’s a scratchy noise between each track. Yeah, I cleaned it first! Use Rhino next time!

FYI - this opens from the TOP not the side. I nearly sliced the right side open with my Swiss Army knife before I realized I was prying away at the glue! It was shrink-wrapped very tightly.

I love this record. So happy to grab this at Record Store Day 2025. Looks and sounds fantastic,

First edition June 1985 number 557 with the orange printing. Demographic card not included maybe I sent it back LOL out of shrink but it has the sticker from the shrink carefully cut off and preserved inside the sleeve.

A true college radio classic from the 1980s. Great stuff and sounds amazing on vinyl. Way way better than the cd.

GREAT album - hold it up to the light, its pressed on translucent brown JVC vinyl!

This is basically the first UK press and should not be classified as a REissue!
Those were the only ones available in Europe at the time!!!
