Zhu – The Nightday EP

I just snagged this version (the actual 2018 pressing) and I also have the first pressing. So great that these are the only two pressings that include moves like ms. Jackson. I’m not sure how the press press or later versions sound but the first pressing and this 2018 reissue sound incredible.

Anyone know how many were originally pressed? Thanks in advance

Love that they pressed all 6 songs onto a single side. Unfortunately mine came quite warped. Still sounds okay though.

Not super happy about this pressing. Very basic, thin outer sleeve and a generic white inner sleeve. It arrived with a big dent in on the lower backside and had pretty noticable ring wear. Also has no extras like inserts, etc. For $40 not the best bang for your buck besides paying a lot less then 3rd party sellers.

All that being said it sounds great on my set up minus some occasional noise in-between the songs.

The lowest quality they could manage and still charge $40. This looks and feels more like a $15 record. very basic flimsy jacket with no text on the spine, insert, or protective sleeve. The record doesn't even feel 140g.

The music sounds great, and I'm happy to Zhu, but damn is this not worth the $40 MSRP. Thin card stock jacket, no insert, generic paper sleeve, and a flimsy, not-perfectly-flat record. Absolutely no love or effort put in to this release.

pressing is great minus some debris on it from the factory. flat, great sounding.

Awesome ep. He said on his IG he’s dropping more vinyl later this year.

I can only hope that someone bought more from the 2020 reissue and wants to sell some pcs at a realistic / affordable price...
