I have to say I agree with the ohter reviewers here. It might be a bit cheesy, and being a big pop hit from a former Spice Girl massively dents any street-cred this may have, but this is a great tune that gets me every time; Hex Hector's epic mixes are superb, rising and falling with the song, and when he kicks her back in for a few final reiterations of the title line, it is just spellbinding. Mel's voice ain't half bad and feels quite emotional in this song, which to me seems to be a quasi-religious expression. I don't think she is talking to a lover so much as an entity of faith, a "God " if you will. I'm an atheist so while I don't subscribe to such things, the feeling within the song is very strong.

Memory's, Memory's, Memory's.....The first time I heard this song was in late spring 2000 on a a mixed dj cd(DJ BOOM BOOM - best of nyc underground 4!!!)
During that time this song hadn't quite made it's way to the radio yet, not at least for a few more months. It was very much underground in of what NYC sounded at that time.
This is probably Hex Hector's finest moment IMO!! It was a song that truely had to be experienced in a huge venue like EXIT. The mixes that you would hear along with this were so energetic & "polished" sounding. I asking myself "How can music evolve from this?", and thinking that this NYC "sound" had reached it's peak.
If you were around 19 back then like me and lived near NY or NJ, you couldn't escape songs like this (and you didn't want to!!..)
Very magical times that are permanently etched in my brain.
Can't we go back?
