Notes
This is a repress of the second edition release with the extra track "Play Dead". It was pressed by PMDC in the UK.
Key characteristics are: (1) The last page of the booklet contains a "Made in England" reference and also mentions the Antonio Jobim sample. (2) The back cover shows a small white block next to the barcode. (3) The CD label contains a BIEM/MS reference on the centre-left. (4) The CD matrix has IFPI codes.
However, these characteristics are not unique to this release. There are at least eight more pressings ticking the above boxes, including another PMDC pressing. The only way to distinguish these pressings, and to identify one's version, is to examine the CD matrix carefully. A complete overview of all pressings can be found here.
Issued in a standard jewelcase with twelve-page booklet. Total running time: 52:18.
From the booklet:
"I must have listened to each of these tracks more than 500 times since we started. Everything's long since finished but I'm still listening to these songs everyday. I'm wondering...will this ever stop???!! We are so lucky to have Björk's voice!!" Nellee.
Recorded at Wild Bunch, Olympic, Townhouse, Livingston, Matrix, Swanyard, Workhouse (London), at Beats Studio (Bombay) & at Summa Studio (Los Angeles). Mastered at The Exchange. Thanks to Judy Blame.
Track 1 features samples from "Go Down Dying" by Antonio Carlos Jobim, courtesy of Symbolic Records by arrangement with Quincy Jones Production, Inc.
