Edited one year agoFound my copy used at a thrift store for $7.50. Sounds pretty good but not the best compared to some albums I’ve heard. That’s not a knock it’s just a compliment to ones that sound better. I’m just happy to have this on vinyl. Pick it up if you can find it.

Record number one for me is quite warped. Thankfully it plays fine with no skipping whatsoever. Oh well. It’s a $25 record. Is what it is. Sounds great though. A cheaper turntable may have been a problem with it. I’m not one to complain and return an inexpensive record unless it causes legit playback issues. Sound is damn good.

Listening through it for the first time, anyone else’s copy have The Pretender sound like a garbled mess by the end? So much distortion on my copy but My Hero on the other side sounds perfect
-
Phenomenal pressing! Extremely dynamic with great bass and drums; the guitars truly scream. Excellent packaging too with poly sleeves (and original inners). The vinyl is flat, quiet, and perfect. Highly recommended!

My copy doesn't sound muddy or dull at all. There's a lot of bass in the mix, yes. My copy of Colour and The Shape sounds just as bass heavy. My only gripe with this Greatest Hits package is that they should've included Next Year on it.
-
Sides A - C are flat, disappointing. Side D is much better. All sides are fairly clean.
Sides C & D runouts are significant. Disappointingly there is still room for 1 more song per side. -
My pressing isn't listed on Discogs, it mirrors the original US pressing catalog number wise but discs and cover say made in the E.U. Anyone know what year this pressing is from?
-
Blown away at the audio fidelity of this set. The acoustic version of Everlong is about as dead silent around the acoustics and vocals that I've ever heard on a modern record. Would purchase this again without hesitation.
