Funky Acid Makossa was an essential track on the warehouse party scene of 1988-1989. Other producers obviously liked it as they sampled it on their tracks too. I wasn't sure if I wanted to start jacking when this was dropped or wanted to go into a full on breakdance. How about all of the above? I'll stick to jacking, or perhaps the running man, it's marginally safer. I'm still trying to figure out where that dirty acid hook originates from. Tough track.

This is a fun record for sample-spotters or if you can't get enough of the Apache break. I can't. I'll backspin Apache for days at a time. Super classic.

I bought this in the year of it's release. It's just a dope record.
