"Nil By Mouth" is almost annoying in that it's got a similar drum machine riff to the one that annoyed the heck out of me in Hafler Trio/Sons Of God's _Resurrection_ but then it breaks out into this absolute psychedelic guitar freakout, maybe similar to something Terminal Cheesecake-ish that totally saves the day for me.
"Swansong" is the gem here, though, a literal sea of static. Just like any other tumultuous ocean, it has a high tide and a low tide.. and near the end the waves crash against the rocks.
