Edited 5 years agoI did not use to like this album due to its wild lack of homogeneity. But I was so much older then, I m younger than that now; it’s hugely enjoyable, wacky, experimental, charming, touching, soothing and exasperating by turns. Sort of like life itself, in fact. The sequencing is a delightful challenge on its own. And Dear Prudence, Julia, While my Guitar Gently Weeps and Long, Long, Long among the best songs in the Beatles catalogue. I enjoyed the Giles Martin remix, which I find neither intrusive nor eccentric.
A must for every serious rock music collection.
