Reading alot of comments about this pressing being warped. I guess I got lucky. No warp and press sounds great!

Was hoping to get lucky but mine are warped as well, quite bad too.Are any of the other variants warped?

Edited 6 years agoBoth of my albums were almost so warped as to be unplayable. Relapse must know this is an issue because they offered to send me the standard version for free.
Update - Standard black LP versions I got are quite flat and sound fine. -
Just opened mine and they are a mess. There is NO acceptable level of warping for a new record. Relapse seriously dropped the ball on this. Wish I had seen these reviews but I pre ordered so I guess they weren't here yet anyway. I hope Relapse will refund or replace these with something right. I don't pay for brand new warped records. On a positive note I just saw Windhand live a few nights ago for the first time and they were pretty awesome.

Have to agree with other reviewers. The pressings are warped very badly indeed. The music is great but whoever is in charge of QC where this was pressed was apparently asleep on the job. Very disappointing.

Edited 6 years agoI just got my copy today and immediately replaced the cheap paper liners with Mofi ones and still had trouble fitting the records in the jacket. My copy of Grief's Infernal Flower was like this at first as well, but it got better over time. Also mine are warped just like bowls. I listened to them and my discs are both pretty quiet and to me they sound akin to the other Windhand releases. Overall I'm pretty pleased. I wish they were proper flat, but the warp doesn't seem to affect the sound.

Edited 6 years agoGot my copy today. Both discs are heavily warped (these arent discs, these are bowls).
The mastering is so flat, they could have pressed the whole album on one disc without making the sound worse. Also there is noticeable surface noise. Surface noise on this release is even worse as on release Windhand - Eternal Return.
In general not a good pressing at all.
The fold-out cover could have a little more room for the two LPs, as its a real hassle to get the LPs back into it. The inner sleeves (of course) have no lining.
Very disappointing.
This review deals only with the quality of the media, not the artistic qualities.
