I wish they had put the same effort in the pressing, as the did in the packaging. I really love the quality of the sleeve and the beautifull pictures in the booklet. But the pressing for me is dissapointing it sounds really flat and is no representation of this fibrant recording.

The editing is beautiful. Large format, with glossy cardboard. It contains an extensive interior booklet with photographs of Miles. The sound of the first vinyl is correct without being anything out of this world. In any case we have to take into the year of recording. It is a mono version, somewhat lacking in dynamics. The pressing is good, there are no clicks or pops. The second vinyl offers much worse sound quality. Good historical document but not at all audiophile.

"by the unknown to me Robert Vosgien from files produced by we don't know whom"
Haha, people who do not know nothing are first to disrespect people whose work I truly honour.
Robert Vosgien first caught my attention with CD masters that sounded closest to analogue/ vinyl files. Never listened to anything better. "The Mystic World Of Augustus Pablo - The Rockers Story" being one fine example. I don't have much love for tinny 16 bit/ 48 kHz CD releases, but any Vosgien I've bought been that close to vinyl (without the clicks), just unbeliebable!!! Unbelievable good.
This vinyl edition of 1998's "The Complete..." is absolutely perfect, apart from the booklet that would rather not been attached to the cover. But that's another story. Sonically this edition is way cooler than many others, it sounds great. People who can afford more expensive editions always have to search for a reason why a less expensive one can't be as good as their own copy.
Sad to read these negative reviews here, I am very happy to listen to this pristine records, am thankful for the packaging and the liners and wonder about the negativity. The live one got its faults, OF COURSE, but the original compilation sounds better than ever.
The music is heaven, and Robert Vosgien takes us there sonically. Thanks a lot!!! -
The cover is great and the sound too. However, I have received two copies where LP 2, side, A have endless ticks and clicks. Awaiting copy three to arrive...

This reussue is beautifully done. Great package design, printed nicely, with a wonderful book inside. The vinyl is dead quit and flat, sounds great. Highly recommended.
