You can tell this is a fairly basic and inexpensive mix - very little in the way of enhancement or compression. This is one of those mixes that if you close your eyes it sounds like the band is playing in front of you in a basement. That said, the drums sound natural and punchy. Guitars and bass are a little muddy but it's not terrible and Scott Stapp is - well - Scott Stapp. I have no need to get this on vinyl. It was mixed digitally and specifically for CD and it sounds fine to me as such, but each to their own.

A very good debut from Creed. This is one of the first CD's I ever owned and I still think it was the band's best release. Human Clay is close, though.

Amazing there still is no vinyl for this, even while Human Clay is soon to be reissued. Is there a problem with the masters, does anyone know?
