Is Michel Hammer really Japanese? Even judging by the picture here and in his Discogs profile, he looks nothing like a Japanese guy. Definitely French. Anyone knows how he came to be a part of R.U.G. and other bands mentioned in his profile?

Stumbled upon a YouTube video that points out that the second solo in Deathly Fighter is basically the solo from Motley Crue's Red Hot with more arpeggios. Mind blown. Randy Uchida's version is still better, though!

Edited 6 years agoHere Uchida runs wild and indulges his basest NWOBHM tendencies. The result is fairly standard mid-tempo and mildly inept Heavy Metal with a flat production. It almost falls into the "so bad it's good" category because of the terrible cartoonesque vocals, but not quite yet. The selling points are obvious enough; amazing artwork, the fact that it's on Dogma Records and ofcourse G.I.S.M. G.I.S.M. G.I.S.M.. Without it this would be a forgotten record and not on half as many want lists, but now it's as cult as it comes.
