Strong "meh" on this release. Maybe worth picking up if you are a Pepe completist ... but not exactly a floor filler.

Life is a timeless track, first time i heard it was at Rex Club in 2000, of course played by LG... This is not a typical banging club track as the kick is rather soft, but that bassline and chords... this one and the track "4" from are my fav pepe prod not to forget "What We Need (Pépé Bradock's Brad Peep Rmx)".

For me, "Life" is better than "Deep burnt".
More elements, not feelings only on the strings.

Life is one of Pepe's best tracks. Find this one if you can.

Probably, if not the best release by Pépé Bradock. It's got it all. Carl Craig style deep techno journey on the A side and fantastic Theo Parrish-esque beats on the flip.

            Timeless stuff, highly recommended!

Ghost is the sleeper from Pepe's overall backcat IMO

Ghost is sooooo under rated. A very moving track.

Ultra nerdy but: there's a break down at about 4.50 (on Life) where there's no percussion just synths. I love dropping it down from 45 to 33 rpm for this section and then when the beats kicks in at 4.57 BOOM back to 45.

                  ....I'll get my coat.

Life was a great song, definitely stands out along with Lara and Deep Burnt from this '97-'00 era.

Pepe Bradock gotta b the best French producer since the 70s !!... The man has kept a low profile for more than a decade, doing his records the way he wants them : deep, subtle, subdued but extra dubby, hypnotic and always innovative.. Go Pepe !!! let's not even mention his experimentations, teasers like "Rhapsody in Pain" built around screaming, tortured, anxiety inducing "pain samples" ... who the hell got the balls to press music like that ? Apparently a Parisian called Monsier J.Auger :)
