Slightly disapointed witht eh booklet as they just recycled the booklets of former compilation without any new addition, not even the lyrics! Rather lazy on that department.
The music however is the main point of this box and it should be reason of owning alone.

Incredible sound, I couldn’t believe how huge those live LPs sounded. Beautiful packaging too, recommend.

Edited 3 years agoIt is very interesting how old "Soulside Journey" sound differs from the new one from that box. The old one sounds a little bit cleaner and a little bit spacious the same time. The new one is more guitar-driven, more related to the idea of Darkthrone's nowadays sound. I would't call it completely new mastering, seems like a way to find compromise between original material and the sound the band whanted to achieve.
Also I was a little bit disappointed the sertificat wasn't hand signed. For the price like this ALL sertificates SHOULD be hand-signed by the band. Also you won't find here any "Soulside Journey" lyrics in the box - don't know why they didn't include it in the box. Songs could be easily printed on the useless black outer sleeves.
Well, the box is great, anyway. -
Just out of curiosity. My copy have the cardboard trays for cassettes lying horizontally and not standing vertically as on the image shown here. Are your copies standing vertically or horizontally in the box? Or is the image just tilted?
Tapes are being adviced to be stored standing vertically. I tried to take the cardboard tray out of the box, but it seems to be stuck (maybe glued). -
My copy oddly inludes Nick Cave & The bad seeds - "B-Sides & Rarities" Disc one /Side one center sticker loose in the Goatlord demo record sleeve. By accident? I don´t think so! (because it was released on BMG) ;)) Feeling like i found the needle in the haystack! -
Beyond stoked on this package. And surprised at how listenable most of the live recordings are! -

This box is insane, the vinyls sound perfect and it's the same for the 4 pro tapes. Amazing stuff !
