Reviews
-
Good sound on these on my opinion most important Rod Stewart albums but unfortunately lots of distortions due to pressing faults. An accompanying booklet with stories around his move to the US would have been appropriate.
-
Edited one year agoLot of background noise on every record of this set for my copy. Purchased on Amazon DE.
The audio level is low which brings out vinyl noise -
Really nice sound overall. Excellent separation. Completely flat. No complaints on some solid albums.
-
Assumption is that BG got new “flat” transfers for the master tapes and he mastered/cut from them.
Defined, broad, great bass. Flawless pressing. And cheap ($80-90?) -
Edited 3 years agoCan anyone confirm whether "Rhino" label appears on boxes ordered from Rhino in the US?
-
Excellent set and sound. Great separation on instrumentation. Really impressed with this one as some of my originals were not in the best shape.
-
Great set; good, flat, quiet vinyl from MPO , and nice remastering from Bernie Grundman. The only minor gripe I have is that Rod’s voice is a bit sibilant on some tracks on Night On The Town. Having compared this to an original pressing, I’ve come to the conclusion that it wasn’t a fantastic recording to begin with, and BG has done the best he can with what he had to work with...
