Edited one year agoAn awesome song but, a not so awesome reissue.
To anyone out there that is curious about how this reissue sounds, it is ehh okay but definitely not spectacular, whether you have heard the original version or not.
I was excited to get this reissue, being that an original copy is currently up to 10x the price. I also had faith in this reissue because I had recently bought another record from this label, “ me”- the Trinikas and, which sounded decent enough to play in que with my other 45s.
However, when I received this copy of “get your point over”, it sounded so flat! The low end frequencies are hardly existent and the high frequencies are sharp and dull. I was in denial so I played it along other 45s from the of the same era and my ears were not mistaken. It’s audibly lower in volume compared to other proper issues of anything and the sadly, the stereo imaging is very narrow on this version.
If you really want this song in your collection I recommend buying the “Get your point over”. compilation 2x LP on TUFF city records. If it has to be on 45, this is just a place holder!
Happy digging. Peace!
