The mix and pressing of this record is on par with some expensive audiophile records in my collection. On top of that, the trio plays fantastic. Bill’s playing is as real and emotional as any of his other records. A must have in my opinion.

You can really feel the sadness, pain, and unfortunate desperation of Bill’s life coming to a head on every song of this album. One of the most heart breaking and melancholy albums of any genre with a near flawless recording clarity.

Beautiful record, so well mixed and mastered. An audiophile recording for sure, my NM copy is pressed on Quiex translucent vinyl. It is not d as such, would be Interested to know if anyone else’s copy is as well…

I don't know if it's his best album, but everything else frscottgerard is spot on. Great record, and well recorded. Lucky to get a clean copy today for a buck........

Perfect Jazz LP, Great Trio led by Bill Evans with Eddie Gomez and Eliot Zigmund. In my estimation, this is Evans best studio album. This is partly because of how well it was recorded and it is mastered at the Mastering Lab by Doug Sax: perfect perfect perfect sound!!! This review is for the original LP, but the original US CD is the best sounding CD i have. Get a quiet LP, it is totally worth it!
