Some trivia on how the sleeve artwork came about: Kawakami wanted to ask Skinny (in the UK) to do some artwork but didn’t know how to go about it. This being the pre-internet ‘global network of friends’ era. So despite not even knowing Skinny, having any details or even a sense that he would be interested in helping out, we were able to make it happen.

It’s relatively well known that Kawakami didn’t have the best English. I’d previously helped him re-write the Tragedy LP lyrics and I know other native English speakers helped with later releases but at this stage he didn’t feel confident enough to reach out to Skinny himself directly. So I stepped in and wrote to Skinny on his behalf but never heard anything more about it. I’d assumed I just had the wrong address. The first I knew that things had worked out was when Kawakami sent me the record.
