Edited 2 years agoContext for those wondering why this is a banned item on Discogs: see *legal dispute*
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toca%27s_Miracle
Supposedly, it's over now and yes, there's re-releases of each own version on other platforms so ideally, would like to see this classic dance track allowed for trade again.
I had to source mine elsewhere thanks to this ban, and for what cause at this stage when the original authors receive nothing at all from these sales of used items.
To clarify: The re-release of this track is in Toca (20th Anniversary Edition) HOWEVER it's not Coco's original vocals. She released her own rendition found on Spinnin' Records, which is strikingly similar. You'll also find Coco's Miracle also under Spinnin' Records for (yet another) rendition of her vocals on a new track. -
If ever there was a formuliac track to avoid it's this. Yes I know it was big in the clubs worldwide, but it also was one of my ex-wife's favourites, so I can't recommend either to anyone. I get it that sellers on here are frustrated they can't sell their wares - I mean, I too hold a copy. But truth be told, why would anyone want to inflict this pain on another human being? Right or wrong, Discogs could well be doing us a service in protecting people's ears from this. 'Everybody Knows' that 'Toca's Miracle' was short lived. R.I.P

it's a joke they are blocking the resale of this release. Sold loads of copies especially on cd. Discogs are getting a bit silly lately. Where will it all end? Are they gonna block Paul Mccartney's Ebony and Ivory as it contains ivory? (sarcasm intended) what about tracks from questionable artists like Gary Glitter? slippery slope methinks!

Oh the power of the bootleg, back in the days when of course, White Labels were all powerful.
Originally a mashup created by a small time club DJ, DJ Vimto. Straight forward accapella over the top of Fragma's "Toca Me".
I vividly this vocal got thrown over the top of several other club tunes including York "The Awakening", Aptness "The Answer", Madison Avenue "Dont Call Me Baby", Baby D "Let Me Be Your Fantasy", Nalin & Kane "Beachball", Rui Da Silva "Touch Me", Golden Girls "Kinetic", Apollo 440 "Stop The Rock" (Gigolo's Trance Mix). Phew.
To say this accapella got murdered is an understatement. But it fits with pretty much anything. Anyway, great tune, superb vocal. -
Edited 20 years agoOriginally, Toca's Miracle was just a mashup between Coco's 1997 track "I Need A Miracle" and Fragma's track "Toca Me". Due to the fact that both tracks was signed to Positiva, this Mashup got it's official release in 2000.
