Take this review with a grain of salt. As someone who isn't a big cure fan, I find this pressing to sound amazing. It's super clear, not noisy, and the bass is pretty good. I haven't had the chance to hear the original but it can't sound that different, can it? I really like this pressing. So to me, I can recommend it. 5 stars.

This pressing sounds great to me. I have a sub so I get plenty of bass. I don't have an original to compare it to, but this pressing is dynamic and well EQd. No regrets.

Great sounding album, great sounding press. Shame that the record comes in one of those horrible lyric inner sheets. BackToBlack never disappointed me with sound quality but overall pressing quality lacking. The sound is there but the gross staticky inner sleeve is definitely not. If your going to buy this amazing sound quality reissue, swap the inner sleeve!

Sounds good, a little thin and trebly. Turn up the bass and a bit of mid, or treble down, and it sounds great.
My copy was sold to me as a first German pressing. Ridiculous, but I'll keep it as it sounds good and was cheap. -
I wish all The Cure reissues and remasters sounded this good, wow! This is my first time hearing this album and it sounds amazing on my system. I'm running a (1989-80)Technics SL-B3 through a (1982-83) Harman Kardon hk350i tuner with some (1989) Cerwin Vega AT-60s to please the ears.

Great album and pressing but as I found with Disintegration putting the vinyl in a poly-lined sleeve after a good clean is essential as the sleeve provided won't protect from damage/dust. There are ages on this LP where the sound quality ebbs and flows.

Great pressing! sounds better than some old presses. A little distorted in the last minute on each side but despite that very rich sound and no buckground noise.
