Edited 3 months agoGot my copy for £40. Well spent. The presentation of the boxset, teared fake newspaper information, the outstanding artwork on each sleeve and array of colours is excellent, and the sound quality is amazing. So cool to have Primus on vinyl in this way. Yes, some discs are 33 RPM (see below), but so what? There's a limit to how much song you can have on 45 RPM.
Only complaints are that Lacquer Head is absent from the Antipop disc, which is a bit wrong just like the Zingers compilation!! My copy also has a locked groove on the beginning of John the Fisherman and Mr Krinkle pops and crackles a little in the quiet parts.
The Frizzle Fry disc is probably the best John the Fisherman and Too Many Puppies have ever sounded on vinyl. Get this while you can if you are a huge fan. Primus sucks...
1. Frizzle Fry - 45 RPM
2. Sailing the Seas of Cheese - 45 RPM
3. Pork Soda - 33 RPM
4. Tales from the Punchbowl - 33 RPM
5. Brown Album - 45 RPM
6. Antipop - 33 RPM
Presentation: 5/5
Pressing (pops, skips): 4/5
Mastering (audio source): 5/5
Sleeve: Printed Cardboard Inners
Setup (turntable, stylus): AT-120XUSB, AT-VM95ML -
Not sure what set ups some have? But these 7s sound great. It's a cool package probably just for the Primus Sucks faithful, but they sound great and they're the only 7s Primus have. There's a bunch for cheap and if you're a fan, get you one. If only to hear the John and Puppies remaster. They finally sound nice and full on a record. Such a travesty, the mastering of Frizzlefry. Maybe 3rd Man will take it on because they did a remarkable job on these two.

5/5 for the presentation & packaging/artwork
5/5 for the sound quality
4/5 for the inconsistent play speed, a minor inconvenience, not a deal breaker tho

Primus is one of my absolute favorite bands... which is why I already have all of these songs on vinyl... on the albums they already exist on. This was such a wasted opportunity to include a compelling b-side or live track. Hell, they recorded every show in 2003 and 2004 so they have a glut of content. The artwork is rad, but that's not enough to drop $75 for the vault. Glad to see that the non-fans who speculatively bought these to flip are now selling them for $35 here... too bad they want like $20 to ship.

Absolutely love this package. Deconstructed “greatest hits” with cool art, cool vinyl colors, excellent sound quality. Fun way to experience this talented band.

I'm gonna have to agree with much of what has already been stated. The package itself is a cool little collection. Good songs, great art ... but for the TMR subscription!? Nah ... not worth it. I've been getting TMR Vault for years & I think this might be the worst. If a bit more was included, it could've been worth it. But just the 7" records & the box in which they came. Dasit.

Neat little collection, but a rip off at the subscription price. Cover art for each disc is great, but that's about where the good ends. The mastering is poor, the quality control of the vinyl is poor, and the value just isn't there. Sad to say this may be the worst of the Vault collection.

I did a Vault subscription to get this. And somehow there hasn't been a sale on here for near that price. How did everyone get these to let them go so cheap? Share your secret, and I can save some $ next time.....
Great package either way, glad to own their first 45 set -
Just for the varying speeds comments. It takes a certain speed to hold more length. so a song clocking in at 6 min is going to have to be 33rpm. ones at 4 or 2 min can do the 45rpm speed.

Hate to say it, but I'm unimpressed with this subscription. Even for the resell price, all you're getting is six 7" discs that vary in speed (which in my case were riddled with pops throughout), no inner protective sleeves to curb the dust that could be causing the pops, some custom artwork (arguably the best part of this release) and that's it. Unless you're a Primus super fan, I'd skip out.
