Going into 1974, it seemed like "Sly Stone" was trying to get his life together...He got married to "Ms. Kathy Silva" in "Madison Square Garden" (even though it was a spectacle of a wedding), and they had a son together (Sylvester Stewart Jr.)....

In the mist of all of that, "Sly" got back with the "Family Stone" and released "Small Talk"...

Still hanging with the true crew of: "Freddie", "Rose" Cynthia", "Jerry", along with "Rusty Allen", "Sid Page", little sister "Vet Stone", and new member, Drummer "Bill Lordan"...

Even though the Album Revolution is over, it was still a decent album (not groundbreaking but decent)...

It starts off with the "Funky" but subtle "Title Track", with "Sly Jr." crying in the background...BRILLIANT!!!! (like I said, only "Sly would come up with that)...

"Time For Livin'" (the 1st single and Crown Jewel), is a very nice t with some VERY VERY Soulful Violin by "Sid Page"...

The 2nd Crown Jewel, "Loose Booty", sounds like it was born on "Soul Train", again with some "Funky Violin"....

Other notables are "Wishful Thinkin'", "Livin' While I'm Livin'" and "This Is Love" (which is very nice)...

I do feel like "Mother Beautiful" could have been a little longer, but it is "Sly" we are talking about...

The rest is straight filler, which goes to the point I was making earlier...

Once again, "Sly's" Drug habit came into play...With that said, his Marriage crumbled and sales continued to go down...It continued to be a sad situation, and we as "Sly's" fans were EXTREMELY hurt to see it....
