Edited one year agoAbsolutely love Foreigner on Japanese pressings. This one is just as dead quiet and perfect sounding as the self titled album. Super clean. Highly recommended.

My copy uses the U.S. stampers and sounds fantastic. Great way to get this mastering with dead-quiet vinyl.
Added Variant 2 to indicate this, as the current listing had totally different runouts from my Japanese copy.

These japanese copies are amazing in my opinion. All my japanese purchases have been unbelievably clean. this one actually has some spindle marks, so I know it has been played. But, It is perfectly clean and silent. I think the liners they used contibuted to the preservation of these. The OG copies can sound good, but they seem to always have paper scuffs which do create some slight background noise
