Edited 9 days agoGiven my disappointment over the sound of my Hotel California OneStep, I’ll stick with my $1 charity store CD of The long run.
-
Edited one year agoGiving it five stars for the detail and perfect pressing.. now that being said it is toppy and in some systems/environments it will come out as harsh. Standout enhanced track imo: those shoes

Edited one year agoA superb One Step although not quite as loud as Hotel California but not too bright at all, actually just right for my system and tastes. I think I enjoyed side 4 the most as those are some of the lesser known cuts from The Long Run. Finishes up with a tasty sax solo by none other than David Sanborn on The Sad Cafe. Yes kudos to Mofi for finishing up the Eagles series all in the bigger glorified box. Poor Van Halen, they're all gonna get the dinky box treatment. That's ok cause most of their albums are under 35 minutes anyways. Personally I think all One Steps should be double 45s and not 33s like the Parsons and Springsteen but that's just me. And if they're gonna go to the dinky boxes from now on the politically correct thing to do would be to lower the price but that's just not gonna happen now is it?

I find the sound quality here to be outstanding as well. I got #00083/10000 and got lucky this time in regard to both quality control and shipping damage. Sadly, this is too often not the case.
My enthusiasm for MoFi’s One Step series is waning but I can find little to fault on this release. I’m glad to have it to complete the Eagles series. -
Edited one year agoHype sticker on front says one of 11,000 but the numbered portion on back says one of 10,000. Not that it matters, just curious.

Edited one year agoYou can say a lot about MoFi but kudos to them as they did release this in the old style box, keeping all the Eagles releases the same nice going, as for the sound it’s outstanding one of my favorite albums. MoFi definitely did the eagles proud with this catalog release couldn’t be happier with all of them. Enjoy everyone….

Edited one year agoEveryone knew going into this that from a production perspective The Long Run was the best produced Eagles album. The One Step version does not disappoint. It’s faithful to the original recording and sounds excellent from start to finish.
