After a good cleaning, no problem with my copy. Sounds clear and pressed on dead silent vinyl. Happy with it

What I will say is I'm not a big nerd on the Home Alone movies. I do enjoy them a lot but what really helps them (at least the first 2 movies) is the soundtrack. Being by John Williams you know it's going to be good. I'm quite a nerd for soundtracks, even if I don't really like the movie or never seen it.
This pressing of the Home Alone soundtrack is excellent. I know some people below said that it doesn't sound great or that it has really bad pops and static. I haven't had any of those issues at all. Though when I got the soundtrack, I cleaned the records and put them straight into anti static sleeves. The records did have quite a bit of static on them but time in the sleeves removed that.
Though by the looks of it, just seems to be slight defects with some of them. I'm lucky to not have that issue at all. The pressing sounds amazing, I have a high quality machine so I know if it sounds amazing. -

Edited 7 months agoOrdered from Amazon and I can confirm that is a very noisy pressing, lots of surface noise that sounds like a constant campfire, few pops here and there and some wow/flutter especially on side D that feels like a drunken version. Love the soundtrack it brings so much memories from my childhood but really not impressed with the quality. I almost want to try to order one from At The Movies to see if it’s any different.

I really wanted to enjoy this one. Unfortunately, mine came dirty and scuffed (paper sleeves - come on!) and even after a good cleaning, it remains noisy - cracks and pops throughout, constant surface noise. No skips fortunately but the noise definitely affects the listening experience especially on LP2. LP2 has a faint warp which I guess can be overlooked. Still, not impressed with the quality. As for the music, well... it's John Williams, so it makes up for the poor pressing quality. It's a wonderful soundtrack! It's up there with Jaws, Star Wars and Raiders. Just don't expect great sound quality.

Flat and not a single pop audible on my copy - mastering is excellent too imo.
I like how the cover pays homage to the original but combining the red sweater with golden window frame and green background instead (it’s the same as the updated movie poster with Kevin looking slightly different compared to the original).
