The original MGM Mono single of "Eloise" from 1968 is worth having, cause it differs slightly from the common stereo version taken off the "Barry Ryan sings Paul Ryan"- album, that was also used on most samplers ever since. It's easily recognizable, cause the stereo version starts with that laughing female voice. The original mono hit single started, when that laughing was over. But it has a longer fade out at the end with add-libs you only hear on this single. The mix is also slightly different with less echo - but more dynamics, the middle part is on a much lower level than on the (compressed?) stereo mix. Although the sound of the stereo version is superior, this mono single is the real version, that made people love that song in 1968.
