I've kept this album for a while, played it on occasion, and never seemed to enjoy it. That is, until recently. At a good volume level, one can hear the short, yet effective flourishes used on practically ever song whether it's through their harmonies, instrumentation or both. The tune 'Broccoli', could be a throwaway, but it thoroughly surprised me with that tape-effect freakout near the end that increases in volume almost like awakening from a bad dream. The moody 'Under Branches' has some subtle echoed percussion, bass, and Association harmonies interwoven at the last part of the song. The amazing, but short dual lead guitar sounds much more modern and something that a hair band would use in the 80s on 'Boy on the Mountain'. Side one is a more consistent play with touches of steel guitar throughout and of course their beautiful harmonies. Both sides together make for a different yet enjoyable listen.

How do I know if it is a gatefold release? Mine is an American copy, but the cover looks more like the Canadian release.
