This is a great debut for the Legion era of Marduk. You can instantly tell this band became more furious and filled with speed. Earlier works were still fast, but more interested in atmosphere and melodies (and Dark Endless being death metal). This album feels more hateful. It is pleasant for its entire stay, some moments are much more standout than others though. I think the melodies on this album are super strong and really have room to stand out in between all the blasting. Some really trademark Marduk material is on here. Overall I really think this album is strong, but I also believe that Heaven Shall Burn walked, so that Nightwing could run, so that Panzer Division could obliterate.

The only thing that could make this album better would be if it was longer - it's only ~35 mins!. But all 8 songs are pure blasphemic perfection! This is a landmark album in the Swedish Black Metal and still sounds as fresh and exciting as it did when it was released 20+ years ago.
