Edited one year agoCrazy Horse lets loose their proto-grunge garage band wall of sound on this one. Listen to the 9+ minute T-Bone jam. "Got mashed potatoes...Ain't got no T-Bone." -
His best album album with Crazy Horse. Kind of sounds like The Fall were backing him. Highlights: Opera Star, T-Bone, & Shots. Readily available in bargain bins!!

Its crazy that this can be had for less than $5 its such a killer album! Nothing like it in Neil’s catalog, this thing rocks like no other

Nothing nicer than going down to the local rekkid store and scoring a pristine first pressing out of the $5 bins... which used to be the dollar bins LOL. Clear dynamic pressing, why bother buying new when you can get an original. Neil and the Horse sound sharp with some good rocking tunes. It came out after Live Rust and must have been overshadowed. -
Way Down in the Rust Bucket gave me a new appreciation for this album, especially Surfer Joe and Moe the Sleaze. A highlight from the 80's which is rightfully considered his worst decade. -

Great mastering and pressing, not my favorite NY/CH album but has some great tunes and sounds great -
David Gold does a great job as always. I would be interested in hearing the other US pressing, though.
