Record is beautifully done. The mix is a perfect. One of Bowie’s best, it stands alone -
Great album and a very enjoyable pressing, nice and punchy, it really fills the room. The vinyl is flat and quiet, practically no surface noise whatsoever, very little sibilance. Recommended.

Bought brand new sealed from Amazon. Record is flat and very well centered. Pressing quality is simply amazing. Almost dead quiet and everything sounds near perfect, spacious, with great presence. Another knock-out with these Bowie reissues. Highly recommended. 4.9 / 5 -
Dusted this off for a spin...It is flat, has a little light background (light sparse tick), and the sound is good (stage is wide/dynamic/nothing is to imbedded/forward...I do wish they would've brought up the kick on Life on Mars a touch but my personal preference). All in all, a good press and sounds good on my modest system.

Fantastic pressing. Flat, low noise, good dynamics, as wide sound stage as my sound system allows. Will continue build up my Bowie collection with Parlophone releases.

Edited one year agoStrange. I think the EMI 1999 CD, 24 bit, sounds better than this one. Better details, more tone (esp the guitars). Wider sound. The vinyl (incl OG Dynaflex) sounds muffled. I'm not sure if it's because I've changed amp for my audio system. (Vincent, SV 233).

Sounds amazing! Don’t know the source but Life on Mars sounds quite a bit better than my 1980 reissue. Dead quiet and wonderful soundstage.

Edited one year agoI`ve owned this for a few years now but haven`t played for a good while(bad me I know!),so here`s my honest review & opinion...
This is an excellent re-issue/press/mastering of a classic Bowie album(one of his best i.m.o.)my pressing isn`t too noisy either just minor low level surface ticks here & there,it`s nicely centered with no warps.
LP has full dynamics from lows to mids onto highs all are here in full effect this is usually the weak point of any badly done digital vinyl remaster I own - ESPECIALLY the Highs which seem to be the most difficult to get right when digitally remastered to vinyl!
Even casual fans of the Great Man will love this if they get a decent copy,the pressing and the wonderful music just draws you in the more you spin this on your turntable.
Highly recommended five stars I can`t how much it cost me but it would`ve been the usual for a modern day digital remaster of no more than £20,thank you for taking the time & effort to read my humble ramblings.
