When I first listened to it, I thought it was a joke album to troll people ahead of the real album's release. Then, to my dismay, I realized this was the real thing. With "III", Take That had to prove they could still put out a hit record with 3/5 after the smashing success of "Progress". This time round it seems that they believed fans would like anything they produce, so they decided to take it easy. And it shows.

Wonderland is the worst album they've ever made; a collection of subpar, forgettable tracks for the most part. Even the backing tracks themselves sound so lazily put together, in comparison to III. There's a good reason why it's their first album (including compilations) to not reach No1 since "Take That & Party".

December 2021 edit - after giving each song a closer listen, I've decided to increase my rating to 3 stars. I might've been a tad too harsh initially. But it's still not a no1 album and definitely not a highlight of their discography. Too many average/subpar songs.
