GRADING:
Everyone grades records differently. Records have been seen that look great and play bad & records that look bad and play great. “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”
The Grading For Vinyl Is Visual, unless in the description a play grade is stated.
MINT (M): Highest grade, usually sealed or Like New & Listed as Un-played.
Near Mint (NM): Has one or two inconsequential flaws that do not affect play. May have "Spindle Trail/s". Covers should be close to perfect with minor signs of wear or age just becoming evident; slight ring wear/impression, minor denting or small bend to a corner. There should be No Writing on the cover.
Very Good ++ (VG++): Almost Near Mint (NM) with a few more visual imperfections that will not affect the sound anymore than a (NM) record . There may be writing/marks/saw cuts/drill, corner crease/dings or punch holes on Cover's, but overall would be better than a VG+ Cover.
VG+: More surface marks than VG++. Record has been played before but well taken care of by the previous owner. Should play with very few audible imperfections.
VG: Average record that will display surface scuffs and marks. Light surface noise in lead in or quite ages with possibly a few pops and clicks here and there. A VG record will play with minimal noise overall.
I would only rarely list anything lower than this unless Rare.
VG-: Lots of scuffs and/or deeper audible scratches. There will be more pops and clicks than a VG record, but will play without skipping.
COVERS & SLEEVES: Those listed as Generic are White or Black Cardboard for 12" or LP's. Sleeves are the inner protection for 12"/LP's in plain white paper or Custom Company Specific. Sleeves for 45rpm/7" may be listed as Generic and being plain white or Company Specific with a grade.
CD Grading is Visual & applies to all non-sealed CD's only, unless in the description a play grade is given.
Inserts / Booklets will not be separately noted unless there is an issue with either.
