The "Lenny Does London Mix" remained underground but nonetheless popular during the UK 1989 pirate radio and warehouse scene. Borrows the famous, heavy, deep and brooding bassline originally from Reese's "Just Want Another Chance" but overlays it with chopped up breaks and hypnotic synth samples from older house, electro, techno and freestyle tracks in a typically rough and ready new york fashion. Also includes a reggae-esque synth-stab present on the four to the floor off-beat in certain sections aswell. Not an obvious anthem by any means but definitely an underground classic for sure.
