The Beatles is the ninth studio album by the British rock group A Collection Of Beatles Oldies. In it was their thirteenth album overall. It was their 16th album in the US, where it was released on November 25, 1968.
It was the only double album released by the band. Known colloquially as the White Album, it was recorded at EMI's Abbey Road Studios and Trident Studio between 30 May and 14 October and was also the final album (unless you count the Yellow Submarine soundtrack) also mixed in mono. It was produced by Chris Thomas.

Agreed- this pressing sounds phenomenal compared to the purple label I have. -
Really enjoy this pressing, very present... luminous, as someone put it below. Interesting though for a UK release, at this writing, virtually all the sales history is USD$.

More than five stars for fidelity! This may be the most beautiful sounding wax in my collection. The fidelity is inspiring. 3D soundstage with bouncy, fluid bass and wide open imaging. Damn, this is an epiphany…and I’m an atheist! I don’t have an original mono press but have many stereo digital versions over the years. This wins and it’s not even close. [Tech specs in my profile]. -
this pressing is actually not too bad. unforuantly, some of the heavy hitting songs like yer blues and helter skelter tend to lack a lot of kick and bass to it. maybe its just my ears adjusting to the bass, who knows, but nonetheless a really good press. my copy of this is number 0024227
also, the original inner sleeves are plain white compared to the blank inner sleeve that was distributed for the UK/US/AUS releases

Composing those songs in India proved to be a remarkably enriching experience. This pressing is exceptional; its punchy sound quality, combined with Paul's bassline, Ringo's drumming, and John's vocals, is truly outstanding. The audio profile exhibits characteristics similar to a Japanese pressing—quiet yet with a slightly elevated high-frequency response. I love it -
I believe this is the version that was included in the first bc13 box set. Can anyone confirm this? It almost has to be since this appears to be the only UK copy released in 78???

I have one I just bought. Cost me a bit. Very nice shape overall. Very plain cover with little text. -2 on 3 sides, side 3 is -4. -
